The Girl from Ipanema
Today I had the first hour after Pentecost at Oli. Apart from the acute parking problems this time I was there on time, no traffic jams. Have you talked initially about the exercises from last time and have gone through this again shortly. To produce only one sound with the mouthpiece and then to let these be deeper. Has worked quite well, although I could not do much exercise in recent times. Goes quite deep down. Then the next even harmonics,'ve done that then even with the low B works, really well. These exercises are definitely something that will ever accompany me the next few months.
As a new practice, we have still put this:
- Playing only one song with a mouthpiece (as in the Forum article recently).
- Octave to play an A and B will change, where the B is played a semitone lower, and thus sounds like an A (larynx).
After that we have devoted to the music. I told him that I struggle just with "The Girl from Ipanema" and my goal is that I have set myself at the beginning. In three months I would like to "The Girl from Ipanema" playing. We then went through the piece once and then have the difficult sequences of notes in the B-part practice. Slowly, quickly, repeatedly, until a part is located. As early learning vocabulary, in the end I was able to certain passages by heart. I then of course the same at home and gone on to say that it is an effective method of learning. Then shortly before 22:00 clock has already worked well, even the fast Oktavwechsel.
Am once again taken a big step further. My understanding is that every time I'm forced to pause for a few days, then it works much better. Well the brain has to process only once.
Who "The Girl from Ipanema" does not know - was the title of Antonio Carlos Jobim
written. He was
Antônio Carlos Brasileiro de Almeida Jobim and Tom Jobim (born January 25, 1927 in the district of Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro; † 8 December 1994 in New York) was a Brazilian singer and composer.
